Ann Vasilik will be showing new watercolor paintings at the prestigious
Baker Center Exhibition Hall on the campus of the NC Arboretum,
Asheville. About 80 pieces of art will depict images from around the
world. This show follows a hugely successful show of Ann’s paintings at
the same location 5 years ago.
As the State of NC has been cutting its budget, the Arboretum has also been severely cut in its funding. Ann would like to try a new concept to help the Arboretum and benefit the local community. She is looking for sponsor support from individuals or businesses for paintings in her show. The sponsor has the opportunity to select their painting from the show. The paintings are divided into three levels of sponsor support: $100, $50 and $25. Each painting on the show's website will indicate the level of support. The website will show the painting's sponsor. Sponsors will also be recognized by name on a banner at the show. The painting sponsor’s business card will be included in the guest information book beside their selected paintings along with a personal comment by Ann. As a bonus, Ann will give each supporter an 11 x 14 Giclee print (a $40.00 value) of the ‘signature’ painting created specifically for the show. Painting sponsors will recieve an invitation to the June 28th opening reception held from 5:30 to 7:30. More than 376,000 visitors come to the Arboretum each year with the summer months the most attended. Join Ann in this unique idea and support the Arboretum and their mission.
